My Comments:
A very interesting theory and one which can not be ignored. I suspect that the truth is somewhere between the old theory and this new one.
I do not view the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as war crimes. The US did not start the war, the Japanese did and in a cowardly way at that. The US did not torture POWs, the Japanese did. And truth be known the Japanese had their own research program attempting to develop the atomic bomb. If they had succeeded I have no doubt several of our cities would have disappeared under mushroom clouds.
